Hello! I’m back where I belong – on the blog and creating content again.

The last few months of my life have been an adventure. The best few months of my life, in fact. After unintentionally taking some time out to immerse myself in living in the moment and not feeling the need to document experiences and thoughts for the blog, I’m ready to return to my little corner of the internet and kick off a new year with fresh new content.

Are you ready?

2017 was a year full of surprises.

I started a new job. I fell in love. Organised my own event (and the first ever Cotswolds Creative Market). Owned my first car. Made plans to move in with my love.

Big changes, full of happiness and adventure. I decided that self-care and less stress were two ingredients that would help my anxiety and the pressures I would usually put on myself to blog dropped by the wayside. I can’t recommend it enough!

Let it go, whatever the ‘it’ may be, and put happiness first.

If I’m being honest, I haven’t got a ‘plan’ for the blog this year.

Aside from a few fun trips and home interior posts, this year I’m trying to be a little more ‘spontaneous’ with what I do and how I document it. If those that know me well will probably laugh at that statement, I’m a planner by nature. I’m the person who will ‘plan’ a trip to the pub, when the pub is only a few minutes away. It’s good to remind ourselves that living in the moment can lead to just as much fun. From experience, the best content I create usually comes from a spur of the moment scenario.

No matter how many plans you make or how much in control you are, life is always winging it.

Despite not planning specific posts as of yet, I am planning a re-brand of the blog next month as Katie Charlotte turns 5five years old!

My writing and photography has improved (thank goodness!) and the growing number of bloggers I’ve met and been inspired by has helped me grow this blog into something I’ve become very proud of.  I’ve stayed away from Twitter and Facebook, instead focusing my attention on creating content on Instagram, and I’ve fallen in love with photography again.

I hope you’ll stick by me (again) as I reignite my love for blogging.

I’m excited to see what 2018 will bring.

I can only hope it brings as much love, laughter and adventure as the last 12 months has…
