Well, look at that! Two months has flown by without me creating any new content. It’s not that I haven’t thought about it, I’ve definitely had all the guilty feels about neglecting my little corner of the internet. Sometimes, when life gets busy and sweeps you off your feet, it can feel a little overwhelming and all you want to do when you get home is pop on your pyjamas and curl up on the sofa watching Love Island. With plenty of new content to look forward to over the coming weeks, I thought I’d kick it off with a “let’s catch up” and chat about what’s happening in Cheltenham.

In case you’ve forgotten what I look like…. I’ve gone blonde since I last posted!

Dan and I have been good at staying in more after our trip to New York, enjoying cooking for each other and binge-watching shows like Game of Thrones and Hells Kitchen USA, but we also really cherish our date nights. When The Fire Station in Cheltenham approached me recently to check out their new Gin Night we were more than happy to step out mid-week for a few beverages in one of the best bars in town.

A £10 ticket gets you in for the gin and it’s a fairly intimate show. With just a dozen or so of you sat around the table, the gin specialist talks you through the history of the brand before you create your very own gin cocktails. Mix what you like and how you like it, keep it simple or experiment, you’ve got to be in it to gin it! We had a brilliant night learning more about the popular spirit and even got to take home a couple of the glasses. Gin Nights at The Fire Station happen on the last Wednesday of each month and sell out quick so make sure you book early.

In other news…

Last week I attended the re-launch for well-loved local haunt Brasserie Blanc. I’ve visited the restaurant many times with friends and is a popular spot during the Festivals, located right between Imperial and Montpellier Gardens in town. The main man himself, Raymond Blanc, was there to celebrate alongside local businesses, influencers and long-standing customers and gave a brilliant speech raving about how great Cheltenham is. Here, here! As he was talking about the longevity of Brasserie Blanc in Cheltenham, I found myself gushing at how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful town. It’s not often I feel emotional about where I live, but it touched on the heart strings and reminded me of a reason why I started this blog. To share just how many wonderful opportunities and places there are to visit in this picturesque part of the world. I’d highly recommend popping in and checking out the stunning new interior next time you’re looking for a date night spot or spontaneous after work drinks with a friend.

I’m also thrilled to share some exciting news. I’m partnering with John Lewis in Cheltenham to share some of the latest news and updates on the new store, launching on the 18th October! The entire town is buzzing about the opening and I’m looking forward to being able to tell you more about it over the coming months. Head over to my Facebook page now to find out the latest and don’t forget to give the page a Like so you don’t miss out on any updates.

Are you excited about John Lewis opening in Cheltenham? Let me know what you’re most looking forward to!
