A few weeks ago I was kindly invited to Ladbrokes’ Wimbledon Summer Party in London with a bunch of other bloggers. With such cute invitations, how could a girl resist throwing on a white frock to celebrate the Tennis on a Friday night…

I met Soph earlier in the day for London shenanigans and headed over to Martha’s Bar at Williamson’s Tavern in the evening for fun and frolicks. Now, I’m not a sports fan usually but there’s something about Tennis that draws me in more than others – perhaps it’s the British-ness of it all, though it’s most likely to be the Pimms!

The room was decorated in typical British fashion – red, white and blue bunting, gingham tablecloths and a feast of savoury and sweet nibbles – including Fondant Fancies, my favourite! There was also an endless supply of Pimms, Prosecco and cider to help us celebrate in style.

After plenty of eating, drinking and chatting we all took part in the Wimbledon quiz – which I sucked at! Guessing most of the answers, it’s no surprise that I didn’t win but being the good sport (pun intended) that I am I took it well. After all, it’s the taking part that counts…

‘Pimms Pong’ as I like to call it was more my forte and the strawberry piñata was the star of the event – taking plenty of hits until the sweets poured out.

After a few group photos were taken it was time to say our goodbyes, pick up our sweetie bag and head home. It was lovely to meet so many new bloggers as well as those I had been chatting to on Twitter before the event.

A big thank you to Ladbrokes for putting on a fab event for us all, and of course a big shout out to the lovely Carrie and Victoria for inviting me.
